Firstly, baseball.
Sadly, the fantasy baseball season of the Golden State Daleks ended yesterday, falling in the quarterfinals. This ends my streak of third-place finishes at 2 years. Ah well. As the Red Sox go, so go the Daleks apparently.
Secondly, here is a new TIG Review: The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers
One of these days, I'll have some commentary on life in Davis, but I think that may wait until after the Geology Department field trip later this week. However, California has been nice so far.
Oddly, today, I just discovered that the Geology building is next to the law school. And that the UC-Davis law school runs on a semester system while all the rest of the university is on quarters. Funny what you find out when you work the nerve to strike up a conversation with some in the same coffee line as you.
